ORGANIZATION QUESTIONS OF THE ACTIVITIES OF EMPLOYEES OF THE INTERIOR BODIES FOR COUNTERING EXTREMISM

Abstract: the article discusses the scientific and applied issues of organizing the activities of employees of internal affairs bodies to counter extremism. Based on the research conducted, the authors note that the police work to identify extremist manifestations, eliminate, reduce and neutralize the factors that determine the existence of extremism, increases increasingly the active position and support of law enforcement agencies from the population of our country. At the same time, employees of the services and departments of the internal affairs bodies consider the type of activity considered as secondary tasks. Based on the analysis of legislative and other regulatory legal acts on countering extremism, the authors prove the fallacy of this point of view. The considered direction of law enforcement activities of the state, taking into account the professional powers of the police, is an integral part of the service activities of each employee of the internal affairs bodies. At the same time, it was stressed that excessive amorphousness of the definition of extremism existing in the Russian legislation leads to a misunderstanding of legislative and departmental regulatory legal acts. The consequence of the problems noted is poor-quality performance of official duties on the part of police officers. Proposals were made for the need for correction of certain regulatory legal acts of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, aimed at improving the efficiency of organizing the activities of internal affairs officers in countering extremism.
