Abstract: in the article, based on the analysis of the activities of state and municipal authorities, law enforcement agencies, religious organizations and public formations, issues of various format of preventive measures to localize the spread of the ideology of extremism and terrorism among the youth in the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic are considered. In particular, one of the priorities is the implementation of measures for the further development of law enforcement policies of the internal affairs agencies and state authorities in the field of prevention of terrorism and extremism. The used statistics testify to the scale and specific orientation of the preventive effect on students of educational institutions of the republic, as it is this part of the youth that is the most active and containing potential, both constructive and destructive. Taking into account the intensification of the activities of recruiters of extremist-terrorist organizations in the Internet space and the use of innovative technologies, attention was drawn to the need to develop comprehensive measures to counter the ideology of extremism and terrorism among the youth. These measures include combining the efforts of state and municipal authorities with public formations and religious organizations, as well as with the interested Internet community to create propaganda products to counter the ideology of extremism and terrorism. Their subsequent placement in the media and on various media resources of the Internet allows targeted activities to eliminate the conditions for the involvement of young people in extremist and terrorist organizations.
