THE LEGAL MENTALITY OF THE DIASPORA: THE ESSENTIAL AND THE SOCIOLOGICAL DIMENSION

Abstract: the article presents the theoretical, methodological and pragmatic foundations of the theory of Diaspora mentality that is being formed in the domestic legal and political knowledge. In particular, much attention is paid to the legal mentality of representatives of diasporas, which manifests itself in various ways in the social space of a multinational state. The authors believe that the appeal to the time-stable mental attitudes of representatives of different diasporas is necessary, first of all, for the formation of an adequate political and legal strategy for national development and implementation of the corresponding legal policy in various Russian regions. The content and features of the legal mentality of diasporas and provincial communities should be taken into account when determining priorities for reforming the legal and political system, and selecting means and methods for changing the legal, political, and socio-economic order.
